Last Thursday (Nov. 3) not only marked the end of the 2011 Run for Ovarian Cancer 2011 drive, but it acted as the beginning of next year's fundraiser too.
With $120,600 being handed over to the Translational Ovarian Cancer Research Program at the London Regional Cancer Program (LRCP) centre, the fundraiser's chairman said that's one step closer to the million-dollar goal.
Eugene Crowley said the annual run has raised a total of $840,000 in nine years.
"We're really going to try to hit the million this year," he said. "We just have to twist more arms and knock on more doors."
